An introduction to the world of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), in which we aim to introduce you to and get you comfortable with the idea of adding a mindfulness-based approach to your day-to-day, which includes ways to incorporate mindful-eating practices that can leave you feeling more satisfied with each meal (or snack!) and even offers the opportunity to become closer to those with whom you share a meal.

Developed by Professor Jon Kabat-Zinn, MBSR is a program that offers mindfulness training to help people deal with stress, anxiety, depression, and pain. Similar to many techniques that aim to help individuals reduce stress and help the mind and body relax, MBSR uses a combination of mindful meditation, yoga, and body awareness strategies to help you become present in the moment and focus on the sensations and feelings that you have.
