Our Services
Our services are focused on more than just giving out information and hoping you figure out what to do with it. We encourage and support individuals to adopt healthier habits through evidence-based health education strategies that are culturally sensitive, age-appropriate, and tailored to a person's specific needs and experiences. We implement a variety of one-on-one counseling sessions, workshops, interactive cooking, and grocery shopping demonstrations, as well as digital media resources to address the root causes of chronic disease (such as malnutrition) and promote sustainable change in your life. The ultimate goal: creating a healthier U.
We also organize and facilitate support groups to help foster a sense of community among participants who share similar health goals or challenges, and hope to serve as a guide for you in obtaining and using the tools humans already have at their disposal to ensure we may all be afforded the three keys for engaging in and enjoying life wholly; health, strength, and happiness.
It is also important to note that we are by no means an exhaustive resource on all matters to be broached. In fact, we mean to serve as a guide (though some prefer the term "coach") for you to find a more wholistic approach toward improving your overall well-being. The pursuit of "health" is best suited through a multipronged, nuanced approach designed to support you where you are at in your journey. If there is a service you could benefit from that we do not offer directly, we love to collaborate with experts who operate outside of our general scopes of practice. Thus we will work with you to find a trusted practitioner who can provide that service for you, whether in-person or virtually. For there is no "one trick pony", no fountain of youth, no quick fix, and - much to many of other grandmother's chagrin - there is just no simple cure-all. It takes a village to raise a child, and, frankly, it takes a village to support each and every one of us, because we cannot do it alone.
